Richard Jones from Hato Hone talks about mental health first-aid

Rhema Breakfast welcomed Richard Jones from Hatehone St John's to discuss the Mental Health First Aid course, highlighting its importance in addressing mental health challenges in New Zealand. Richard emphasised the need for individuals to recognise their own mental health and to support others in their communities, noting that many people struggle to seek help due to stigma.

The course provides practical tools and a framework, known as the HEAD Action Plan, to help participants engage with those experiencing mental distress. Richard encouraged everyone to consider enrolling in the course to foster a more supportive environment for mental health conversations.
