Treaty Debate Missing a Crucial Piece of the Puzzle
Crown? Iwi? "Remember who is our true Sovereign."
A Maori apologist points out the modern Treaty arena is missing someone who was in the tent at the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. Henare Whaanga (www.thinkingmatters.org.nz) says that unless we honour Christ as our ancestors/tupuna did, we miss the mark; and finding lasting resolutions for Treaty issues may continue to prove challenging.
